PRESENTING ALF is the selection with Prince Of Slane and Matmata de Tendron others of note this afternoon. Sue Smith is understandably mob handed at this meeting and off a mark of 76, the Presenting gelding makes plenty of appeal. Proven on genuinely fast ground, he can be anticipated to have come on for his first run for some time. Prince Of Slane has quite literally sunk a couple of stones in the weights since 2007. He ran a solid race at Warwick last month and it would be no surprise to see him give a good account on today's better surface. Matmata de Tendron is a course-and-distance scorer. He was far from disgraced during a recent sortie over hurdles at the course. Badger represents a yard that won a race last week so watch the market for any clues that are forthcoming. Simply Smashing has proved a disappointment though did win an Irish maiden point over three miles on fast ground. Polar Gale is an impressive looking sort who clearly takes a fair degree of work in order to get him fit. Kidithou has now left Richard Guest and having had two runs since a long absence, there can be few excuses about a lack of matchfitness. Island Key is a long standing maiden under both codes. Presenting Alf is the pick in a race where plenty can have plausible arguments made for them.
