Manwell won a veterans chase at Catterick last time but this is tougher and another chance goes to THE KING OF MAY. The latter scored over a shorter trip here before upped in class and struggling at Warwick and Brian Ellison’s charge is also preferred to The Paddy Pie. The latter drops down a grade having gone close at Wetherby on his penultimate start while Tonto's Spirit can do better back over the larger obstacles today and Dalyotin has only his third outing in this country.
