In depth

Verdict

Negus de Beaumont, Stagecoach Diamond and Chef de Cour look the three to concentrate on in this beginners' chase and the narrow nomination is given to Stagecoach Diamond. The selection was a fair third behind No Refuge last time out that form looks solid and he looks the value bet in an open affair. Negus de Beaumont rates the main danger on his best form but he took a heavy fall last time out and it is hard to know if his confidence will have been affected and at likely odds he is taken on. Chef de Cour was a fair third behind Wee Forbes last time out and will make a bold bid to make all, but his best form is over a longer trip and he is taken on with this in mind. Unowatimeen hails from a yard in top form and is worth a cautionary look in the market but he may need the run after a 351 day break and for the winner we are happy to return to Stagecoach Diamond.
