Ever So Much is on the same mark as when winning this 12 months ago but only ran at Hexham on Wednesday night. Ben Haslam has also entered Scoop The Pot and he is eased in grade while Alexander The Grey had every chance when unseating Lilly Pinchin here last week, though has a poor strike-rate. OXWICH BAY never really got going at Uttoxeter after winning at Newton Abbot but surely warrants another chance in a race like this. Henry's Joy has won over fences but seems happier over hurdles nowadays.
Oxwich Bay (IRE) 7-2fav (12-3) Held up in mid-division, slow 2nd, headway 3 out, never on terms, 5th of 10, 6 3/4l behind Arthur's Sixpence (11-10) at Uttoxeter 2m 4f hcp (5) gd in Jul.
Henry's Joy (IRE) 13-2 (11-2) Held up in last pair, steady headway approaching 8th, 2nd before 2 out, no chance with winner, weakened into 3rd before the last, 3rd of 8, dist behind Transpennine Star (11-2) at Stratford 3m 2f hcp (4) sft in Aug.
Absolute Jaffa 12-1 (10-10) Always towards rear, 8th of 10, 23l behind Havana Hermano (11-12) at Uttoxeter 2m hcp (4) gs in Aug.
Ever So Much (IRE) 22-1 (11-4) Prominent on outside, ridden after 2 out, led 150 yards, stayed on, won at Cartmel 2m 6f hcp (5) sft in Aug beating Artic Quest (11-6) by 3l, 13 ran.
No Such Number 20-1 (11-9) Prominent, reminders after 8th, lost place after 12th, behind from next, tailed off, 10th of 12, dist behind Dallas Cowboy (11-8) at Catterick 2m 3f hcp (5) gs in Nov.
Scoop The Pot (IRE) 18-1 (10-6) Always towards rear, mistake 4th, tailed off, last of 9, dist behind Western Miller (11-12) at Uttoxeter 2m 4f hcp (3) gd in Jul.
Alexander The Grey 13-2 (10-4) Chased leaders, challenged going well 3 out, soon not much room on inside and taken back, close 3rd when blundered and unseated rider 2 out, at Sedgefield 2m 5f hcp (3) gd in Aug.
