In depth

Formwatch

Jack Flush (IRE) First run of the season, but strong claims his last campaign. Good stamina and was runner-up at course last year over this trip.

Dereck's-Mi-Dad Lightly raced and showed some ability two season ago. Has course experience, but may need this run.

Filial (IRE) Has not shown any consistency this year, but has run twice at the course recently, which might signify something.

Darak (IRE) Not shown much since winning over distance at Cartmel last August. May need this run.

Willow Run (NZ) Recent course and distance winner. In good form.

Looking Deadly Never got going last season, but had shown form at the end of his first campaign. Outside chance.

Slim Prior Well beaten at Kelso recently and hasn't shown much for a couple of seasons. Not fancied.

Romany Move Lightly raced and although has not impressed so far, he has finished every race. Best watched for further clues.

Time Temptress Showed some ability over hurdles last season, but hasn't stayed on shorter distances on the flat recently. Might appreciate return to longer trip.

Street Walker (IRE) Just raced once over hurdle last season. Needs the longer trip. One to watch.

Academic Record 3rd out of 6 in recent novice hurdle. Recent convert to the obstacles. Outside chance.

Twin Pleasures Improving for every race, but other preferred here.

Northern Echo Showed some ability to finish third at Hereford in September, but fall at Southwell may have knocked his confidence.

All On My Own (USA) Hasn't taken well to hurdles yet. Best watched.

Boss Morton (IRE) Has deteriorated in last two seasons. Recent races do not inspire confidence.
