Rebecca Menzies had a perfectly satisfactory first season in the training ranks with six winners, two of which came courtesy of Pistol Basc, including at this venue last November. He's disappointed the last twice and now reverts to hurdles for the first time, remarkably, since 2008. Things may therefore happen a little quickly for him back over timber but this is a weak contest and he could go well if returning to form. Miss Mohawk looked quite promising on her first two starts under Rules but has been pulled up the last twice so now represent a risky proposition whilst Badea showed more last time at Carlisle but needs to back that improvement up here. A chance is taken with BLUE SEA OF IBROX, who has yet to win over timber but has one or two pieces of fair form and was beaten less than two lengths in a decent Wetherby seller latest.
