        Verdict

        Last year's runner-up CLOSE HATCHES may start a bigger price than expected having posted a rare below par effort last time behind Don't Tell Sophia and Ria Antonia. But the multiple Grade 1 winner has every chance if forgiven that run and Bill Mott's filly is just preferred to Untapable. The latter has shown good progress this year picking up three Grade 1 events and a bold bid looks assured. Iotapa produced a lifetime best to win the Grade 1 Vanity over track and trip in June and Bob Baffert may yet eke further improvement from the lightly-raced Tiz Midnight. Belle Gallantey is a winner at the highest level but has been no match for the selection in previous meetings.
