Wildman Jack was a surprise winner of a Group 3 at Meydan in March but did it very easily and looks much improved. It would be no surprise to see him follow up in this but CISTRON quickened impressively to land a Grade 3 here on his return from a break and may just have his measure. He holds Murad Khan and Sparkyville on that form and may enjoy a fitness advantage over Wildman Jack’s stable companion Stubbins, who won a Grade 2 at Keeneland in October but hasn’t raced since fourth in the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint here the following month. Texas Wedge also won a Grade 2 here in January but is another returning from a break.
