A tight handicap and any number are in with chances but, racing from a mark of just 74, the lightly raced Ryan's Future, with Kieren Fallon booked, might be worth chancing. Going through the field. Muchea is back on a winning mark and will appreciate the likely fast pace here. Irony is racing off the same mark as when taking a Kempton handicap recently but might not be able to repeat that in this bigger field. Camelot is now rated two pounds higher than for a narrow Redcar win and, while he is entitled to still be improving, we prefer others today. Star Sensation's form seems handicapped about right but the upside is that the stable is in form. John Gosden's York Cliff is capable but has clearly had training problems too. Prince Hector is now three pounds lower than for his Bath win last season. African Sahara, a course winner, is slightly better off with Camelot on Redcar form and has two lengths to find. Beluga Bay is lightly raced and from a canny stable but has a few pounds to find on the form book. Alrafid has been raised four pounds for winning a fairly modest handicap at Goodwood, although he too is fairly lightly raced. Irish import Hadath - although he began his racing life in Britain - won a Naas handicap off a mark of 75 on yielding last year and is now rated 73, although the excellent Liam Keniry takes three pounds off his back. He is entitled to run well off his current rating. Cool Temper hails from an in-form yard and has won three of his last four races. He's been well-placed by his handler but this is tougher. As we have already mentioned, Ryan's Future has the profile of a likely improver and should certainly have finished closer to the winner on his latest outing. Muyassir is certainly well-handicapped on his best form of two years ago and is closely weighted with Mobo-Baco on their Bath runs in an Amateur event last time. Must Be Magic is now seven pounds higher than for his recent Kempton win, but at least comes here in good heart. A return to his best gives course and distance winner Pagan Prince a shout, while Firewire, although he has a couple of pounds to find on Must Be Magic on their Kempton runs, is another that comes here in rude health. Madame Maxi is also a course and distance winner and can marginally be preferred over Firewire at today's weights based on a Windsor run earlier in the month. It's very competitive but we'll stick with Ryan's Future.
