Al Kazeem won a Group 2 on his only start as a four-year-old and is an obvious candidate in this. Ektihaam won on his reappearance last year but didn't really build on a subsequent second in the Dante at York while this is a big step up for the lightly-raced Eagles Peak, who has only won a maiden and a handicap so far. THOMAS CHIPPENDALE won the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot last summer and found the distance beyond him in the St Leger on his final start last year. He's starting off at a realistic level this season and is probably the one to beat as Semayyel's victory in a Listed race at Yarmouth in the autumn was probably a fluke. Dick Doughtywylie won over the trip at Doncaster in September but this is a huge rise in class and Burano often flatters to deceive.
