We could have some early aspirants for next year's 1,000 Guineas on view, and with entries in the Moyglare Stud Stakes and the Gimcrack, we'll take a positive view about LAMAR. James Tate's filly caught the eye in a hot Newmarket maiden in June and ran out a game winner when tried back at headquarters later that month. Richard Hannon's team suffered a couple of high profile reverses last week so Ligeia is approached with caution. That said, she deserves a crack at a Listed prize having won readily on the Polytrack at Kempton. Majeyda ran better than her finishing position suggested in the Empress Stakes at Newmarket and she will have a big say in the outcome of this race. Feedyah is already proven over the trip and could be anything while Qawaasem was behind the selection when they met though Charlie Hills' filly has subsequently gone on to win a maiden.
