In depth

Verdict

Sangarius carries a small penalty for winning in this grade last year but was fourth in the Dewhurst on his final start as a juvenile and is probably worth following this season. John Gosden runs King Of Comedy and the unbeaten Lord North with Frankie on the former, an easy winner at Nottingham on his return to action. Walkinthesand has run well in both starts this year but drops back in trip while Dark Vision could make no impression in the 2000 Guineas. Bell Rock could be anything and Raakib Alhawa is held in some regard but ROSEMAN impressed at Nottingham and could be the value. That form has sent out mixed messages but the Kingman colt clearly enjoys a galloping track and could develop into a smart miler this season.
