Paul Nicholls has won two of the last four renewals and has saddled the winner four times in total. Southfield Theatre and Just A Par are his two entries this year with the former likely to be among the market leaders, even though he blundered around Cheltenham last month before being brought down by the fall of Theatre Guide. Six of these ran in the Crabbie's Grand National with Le Reve and Saint Are prominent for a long way. But The Druids Nephew performed poorly and was pulled up and Hadrian's Approach departed at the first. Bishops Road suffered a similar fate in the Topham while Measureofmydreams fell at the third in last week's Scottish Grand National. The ground may have turned against then improving Henri Parry Morgan but Carole's Destrier could go well if forgiven a poor run at Cheltenham – he's best on right-handed tracks. THE YOUNG MASTER (NAP) was third in a Grade 3 at Cheltenham last month and has won over 3m3f on heavy going over hurdles so this longer trip should hold no fears. With Sam Waley-Cohen able to claim 3lb, Neil Mulholland's seven-year-old is probably the best handicapped of these.
