A competitive contest with Gold Trail wearing Godolpin's first colours ahead of Elite Army. The former's second to Volume looks better in hindsight after the latter won last week's Oaks trial at Newbury, but Volume's trainer should have a good line on the form as regards ROSEBURG. Luca Cumani's colt won a Ponteract maiden with plenty to spare last month and further progress is expected here.
