BEAKERS N NUM NUMS got the drinks in at Yarmouth and while this is clearly a step up in grade for William Jarvis's colt, a 6lb rise may not be enough to stop him. Rapid Advance has taken time to come to hand and Sir Michael Stoute's gelding confirmed the positive impression he gave in maiden company when successful at Goodwood. That race hasn't worked out in the interim so the market will tell us whether a mark of 80 is fair. Mr Greenspan, High Church and Cobham's Circus are of particular interest on their handicap debuts. The former took part in an incredibly hot maiden at Newmarket and there was no disgrace in finishing third, as the winner was subsequently second past the post in a French Group 1, and the fourth has obliged in back-to-back handicaps. The well-bred Loving Home takes his chance in this race rather than in a couple of maidens for which he also held entries.
