Encouraged has won twice on the all-weather since being gelded and switching yards. He can figure again while Ouzo also improved for a change of scenery when going close here on his debut for Jamie Osborne. Empirestateofmind scored on soft ground earlier but Tahitian Prince is preferred on last month’s effort at Windsor. SHEER ROCKS won both outings last season and attempted to make all in the Blue Riband at Epsom on his reappearance but faded away over the longer trip. Better is expected back over a mile at this lower level and he gets a speculative vote to build on last year’s promise.
