Indian Scout (IRE) Has created a good impression this year, especially at Uttoxeter last time; he'll have his supporters today.
Concert Pianist Improving and likeable gelding; he's set to play a leading role here today.
Direct Access (IRE) This is his biggest test to date but easy successes thus far have earned him the right to be here; a chaser in the making and he's one of many that make this an intriguing contest.
Ready To Rumble (IRE) He's going the right way and is well regarded by his trainer, stays this trip well and, getting weight from the top two, should run well.
Flying Trix (IRE) Improving and stays three miles well; finished third behind the useful Hindiana at Ascot last time and has the able assistance of AP McCoy.
Mister Bigtime (IRE) Beaten just under a length by Flying Trix at Towcester in December (2m5f,heavy/soft), they meet on the same terms today; is also closely weighted with Ready To Rumble for their run at Ascot over three miles on Nov17; he's a stayer really and may lack the gear-change of one or two others.
Cruise The Fairway (IRE) See Rescator; he could improve for this step up in trip; he certainly has the scope to.
Native Emperor Well behind Flying Trix at Ascot last time; is now 12lbs better off; earlier he'd finished well behind Concert Pianist and Soeur De Sentier at Ascot; he's 25lbs and 3lbs better off today, respectively; he'd earlier beaten Flying Trix by 9:5 lengths at Kempton and is now 19lbs better off; he'll need to leave his last two runs behind him to show here but he had looked to be improving prior to that.
Tyneandthyneagain Has ability and seems to be improving; more of that needed; trip and ground should be no problem..
Soeur de Sentier Ran a strange race at Cheltenham last time (behind Harry Harestone), seeming to sulk before then running on again at the end; is now 15lbs better off with that horse; before that she'd finished ten lengths behind Concert Pianist at Ascot and is 22lbs better off today; on that basis, you couldn't dismiss her but her last effort needs to be left behind.
Rescator (FR) Is 6lbs worse off for finishing eight lengths ahead of Cruise The Fairway at Plumpton in January (Harry Harestone further behind); he has his quirks but is not without ability.
Harry Harestone Sprang a surprise at Cheltenham in January but it wasn't an overly strong event on the day; even though he ran well last time, it would be a surprise if he scored today.
Newick Park Lightly-raced and unproven at this trip, even though there's stamina on the dam's side; not without ability but this is a big step up for him.
Red Imp Has kept on improving all season; this is his biggest test to date and even though he's got a light weight, he still races from 3lbs out of the handicap; trip and ground no problem.
Gracie Grey Well out of the handicap and cannot be fancied here.
