In depth

Verdict

Kasbadali's good run of form continued with success in a jumpers' bumper at Kempton last month and Oliver Sherwood's charge is one for the short-list. Something was clearly amiss with Quinte Du Chatelet at Carlisle last time and better is expected here while the soft ground could bring Heathcote's stamina into play. Bobcatbilly doesn't appear to find much off the bridle, however, while Hildisvini is probably high enough in the weights now and Semi Colon has been a little disappointing since finishing second at Cheltenham in November. HAWKES POINT looks harshly treated on his sole win in a maiden hurdle at Chepstow in January but had any amount in hand that day and Harry Derham's claim will help his cause today. He gets the nod in a tight handicap.
