Verdict

THE HON MACKINLAY was runner-up to Hannah Just Hannah at Stratford in May on his debut. The winner went on to defy a penalty so the form is probably decent and Mick Channon's Bold Fact gelding can go one better here. King's Song looked a bit one-paced when fourth at Chepstow in September but can only improve whereas Deadly Song disappointed when odds-on at Carlisle last month. Kap Jazz is out of French stallion that's sired a host of very decent NH performers in this country and would be very interesting if attracting market support. Fellow newcomer Stonegate is a full brother to the useful Megastar and is another to note.
