Verdict

This is a much better race than the maiden handicap won by Arlecchino at Pontefract. Pasaka Boy has found life tough off higher marks since winning at Epsom while Pearl Castle hasn't raced since April but Ikhtisas won on his handicap debut at Doncaster and may be capable of better. Tajheez came back to form at Haydock but a 7lb rise looks harsh and he is more exposed than VITAL EVIDENCE. Sir Michael Stoute's colt won his maiden over track and trip in June and was eased when beaten over 1m4f at Haydock subsequently - he still has time on his side.
