The Henderson stable won this last year and will be confident of a big run from PISTOL WHIPPED, who justified favouritism in an above-average contest at Fakenham after a promising third behind stablemate at Newbury. This stiffer track will suit and the handicapper has had little to work with. Two For Gold couldn’t be in better form and is another unexposed type making his handicap debut on a decent mark. Dan Mcgrue was pulled up on his reappearance but will strip fitter today and Harry Cobden prefers him to stablemate Magoo. Nordic Combined was knocking on the door prior to his run in the Betfair Hurdle and will appreciate this drop in class.
