Verdict

A disappointing turn out for the prize money on offer but it has still attracted three bright chasing prospects including likely favourite Impek. Henrietta Knight's charge is a smart hurdler and promises to be just as effective over the larger obstacles judged on his two chase wins at Huntingdon and Hereford this term. The son of Lute Antique has impressed with his jumping technique and is the TEAMtalk choice to maintain his unbeaten status over birch at the main expense of Tysou who scored easily on his recent comeback over course and distance. Nicky Henderson's charge has little to find with the selection on hurdling form and can go close but Le Roi Miguel has a bit to find on these terms despite an encouraging effort when second in a Grade 2 chase at Chepstow last month.
