No favourite has won this in seven renewals and a 33/1 chance was successful a year ago. CANTAL made a very promising return to action over a mile at Ascot and though only third the assessor was impressed enough to raise her 3lb. She can progress again and looks the one to beat though there are numerous dangers including Tartiflette, who was impeded at the start at York after a tremendous run behind Gregorian at Newbury. Gaul Wood has looked a nice prospect in his two Polytrack starts and is on a fair mark while Wahylah was a bit unlucky at Haydock last time and did well to get so close. Fire Ship had been going very well until missing the break at Epsom on Oaks day and will enjoy any further rain while Poole Harbour's 6lb penalty for last week's very easy maiden success at Kempton shouldn't prevent another big run.
