Verdict
A line can be put through Lord North’s run in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes as a blindfold was still in place as the stalls opened. He should get closer to eventual runner-up Bay Bridge today but has already been beaten twice by Alenquer this year. Stablemate Mishriff hasn’t raced since tailed off in the Saudi Cup in January but was second in this last year and did beat Alenquer in the Juddmonte at York later. Native Trail is a top-class miler having won the Irish 2,000 Guineas at the Curragh after finishing second in the English equivalent but VADENI was hugely impressive when landing the Prix Du Jockey Club at Chantilly last month and may be staying on too strongly for these in the closing stages.
