        Verdict

        Course and distance winner Ocean Gale was beaten only a length at Wolverhampton on her reappearance. She beat Miskin here in August but SPIRITOFTOMINTOUL may have slipped far enough down the weights now to get his head back in front having placed at Doncaster last time. Tony Carroll’s charge is helped by an apprentice’s allowance today and gets the vote. Heron has tumbled down the weights and was placed at Kempton recently while Briac returns to the level having won over hurdles in February.
