THE TARTAN SPARTAN (NAP) got no sort of run in a valuable handicap at Musselburgh on his reappearance and can gain compensation today. Yorkidding ended up in Listed race at the end of last season but had an alternative engagement yesterday at Ripon. Medburn Cutler won a couple of times last year but this represents a step up in class. Great And Small has only had five runs so is less exposed than his rivals and should have more to come this year while Paris Protocol was highly tried as a three-year-old, though has yet to prove he stays this far.
