Verdict
Laser Blazer won this a year ago from just 2lb lower and though that was on fast ground he scored on soft going over hurdles last month. Poitin has been running moderately from this mark but Ivanhoe was only beaten a short-head over the track and trip in May and appeared to resent first-time blinkers at Chepstow last month. The lightly-raced TAWS (NAP) came here for a similar race a couple of weeks ago and showed that staying is her game with a fine victory over Statminister. That was on fast ground and she's been raised 7lb but her victory at Nottingham in June was on soft going so she won't be inconvenienced by the conditions and can go in again. Fighting Back was having just his fifth start when staying on strongly over 1m4f at Leicester and can make further progress at this trip.
