Plenty of runners but MONSIEUR NOIR (NAP) looks the one with the scope to go on to better things after improving with each run last season, culminating in a narrow defeat at Newbury. Real Smooth led for a long way over a mile at Newmarket so the drop in trip looks certain to suit but Hey Ho Let's Go has looked one-paced on Polytrack. Amplify has had plenty of chances though hasn't performed badly in the context of this race and can reach a place again. Annexation cost €240,000 and wouldn't need to be special to make his mark here.
