Verdict

ASAASSI just failed to make a winning debut at Kempton in November and has undergone wind surgery since beaten there again in a race that has worked out very well. Roger Varian's charge can start making up for lost time though the newcomers Makfoul and Miss Bluebelle have smart pedigrees, especially the latter who is a half-sister to five winners. American Flag did much better on his second start at Nottingham but will likely need more as will Sea Stone from his run at Newbury but Alternativa only weakened close home over the track and trip last month.
