Drum Dance has the beating of Loaderfun on debut running, when the pair finished second and fourth respectively at Leicester, and Fulke Johnson Houghton's colt deserves to get his head in front, having again found one too good at Sandown subsequently, but preference is for Desert Demon. The selection is trained by Barry Hills who has his two-year-old team in fine form at present. The son of Unfuwain ran a race full of promise at Newmarket first time up in a contest that is working out well. With plenty of improvement to come he looks worth a bet. Stablemate Anchor Date, a son of Zafonic makes more appeal than the other newcomer Belle Chanson although a bigger threat may come from Councellor. Richard Hannon's colt has shown a similar level of form in all three starts to date and is entitled to respect but Desert Demon showed plenty of promise on his debut and is taken to open his account.
