A cracking renewal of the day’s feature. A La Voile ran her best race to date at York last month when ahead of Vesela. Technique finished fourth in the Nassau at Goodwood having just come up short in a Group 3 at Newcastle earlier when Lilac Road finished last. LADY HAYES appeared to scale new heights when runner-up to Alpinista in the Lancashire Oaks. The latter won this last year and Roger Varian’s course winner can follow suit as she appears to handle all types of ground. Invite will need to up her game having a first run for Andrew Balding but Gloria Mundi can’t be ignored as she appears to have the beating of A La Voile on collateral form and is back down in grade after running in the Ribblesdale at Ascot.
