Verdict
War Chief took a while to get going on his debut at Wolverhampton but stayed on strongly once the penny dropped and will be fancied to open his account here. However, there was enough promise in HOLY ROMA'S first run at Chelmsford to think that the 5lb she receives from Alan King's colt will be enough to swing things her way. She would have finished a lot closer with a clear run on the Essex track and that experience will stand her in good stead. Captain Sue has been placed the last twice but will probably be going handicapping over the winter. Thirsk runner-up Stevie Brown also needs more but newcomer Eburaci should be monitored for any market support.
