Verdict

STAR OF VALOUR hasn't visited the winner's circle in his last 12 starts but has performed with credit at this level and went close over trip and ground at Windsor just nine days ago.The booking of Hollie Doyle strengthens confidence off an unchanged mark. Thanks Monica is getting there and this is a decent opportunity against exposed opposition as Zlatan and Shuv H'penny King require improvement on recent efforts. Uncle Dick is worth a place on the shortlist, however, as he is usually thereabouts at this level and was noted staying on nicely last week in a better race over a shorter trip.
