Close up in rear to 3f out, soon ridden and weakened 2f out
tracked leader, joined leader from 6f out, ridden 2f out, still every chance over 1f out, no extra inside final furlong
led, chased along 4f out, ridden and hung right 2f out, headed and still every chance 1f out, no extra final 100 yards
close up, chased leaders 3f out, slightly outpaced over 1f out, kept on well inside final furlong but held towards finish
held up 4th, under pressure over 2f out, led 1f out, stayed on gamely inside final furlong, all out
Prince Holing should not find this too difficult and should score at the expense of Shuhood and Intercession. The selection, trained by John Gosden comes here rather than going for a maiden and shaped with promise last season on a similar surface to the one he will encounter here. He may go off a short price but looks likely to win. Shuhood ran well behind older horses last time out at Newmarket in a race that has thrown up a few winners and is entitled to run well though the ground will be plenty fast enough for the Kingmambo colt. If Intercession can put his last run at York behind him where he was not given the best of rides then he is entitled to go close on his two-year-old form.
