    Verdict

    Rated 104, APOLLO ONE has to be forgiven a below par effort over 7f in Listed company at Doncaster last time when folding tamely in the closing stages. But the front-runner had earlier finished a decent third in the Group 3 Solario at Sandown and looks worth a try over this shorter trip on that form. Whenthedealinsdone won a maiden at Newbury and should have the measure of Rivers Lad on these terms despite carrying a penalty but Dark Shift made an impressive debut with an easy win at Ascot and may prove the biggest danger.
