Montaly won the Lonsdale Cup at York in August but was well beaten in this last year. Brandon Castle is a progressive handicapper upped in class by Archie Watson but Renneti won a Group 3 contest at Naas for Willie Mullins last month and could figure. Last year’s winner Vazirabad beat Mille Et Mille to win the Prix du Cadran at Chantilly last month and got the better of Holdthasigreen before that. He should make another bold bid though the three-year-olds all have a chance this year including German challenger Oriental Eagle and Group 2 winner Ice Breeze. But KITESURF makes most appeal on these terms after going close in a Group 2 over 1m4f at Chantilly and it’s Andre Fabre’s filly that gets the nod.
