        Verdict

        Vazirabad has now won seven in a row, including the Group 1 Prix Royal-Oak here, but all those victories came over longer trips than this. He looks worth taking on at the early prices and EAGLE TOP is a viable alternative. John Gosden’s charge posted his best effort to date in soft ground when runner-up to Postponed in last year’s King George and he should be sharper for a reappearance at Newbury in May. He’s preferred to the other UK raider, Dylan Mouth, a Group 1 winner in Italy and now with Marco Botti. Erupt’s best form on faster going than this and while Andre Fabre runs two Manatee was behind Vazirabad last time and Harlem was third behind Garlingari and the winner One Foot In Heaven at Chantilly last month.
