KING OF THE ROMANS showed little on his debut but like so many from the yard produced a much better effort on his second start when a close second to Muuanid at Galway. Both starts were on very testing ground and he's likely to be suited by quicker going but should have enough class to see off these rivals. Spinacre is obviously highly regarded as she started a short-priced favourite on her debut over 6f at Navan but never really showed. It was a surprise to see her dropping back to the minimum at Naas but she ran very well behind Lady Gosford. Truly Delightful hasn't shown much pace in her two starts to date and her pedigree suggests she'll do better in her second season, a remark that also applies to Jessica Harrington's newcomer The Ticket Man.
