LEAH CLAIRE has returned to action even better than last season when she landed two of her final three starts. She was always travelling well when beating a huge field at the Curragh a fortnight ago and would have won more easily but for having to be switched. Teach Nua has finished third in six of his seven starts on the flat but did better over timber last summer though a longer trip would probably suit. Prince Chaparral gained his only success over this C&D in September and has run well over shorter this year though he's held by Leah Claire on their run at Leopardstown last month. Daggers Bond has a career total of no wins from 17 starts but looked to have found his right conditions when runner-up to South Wing over tonight's trip on fast ground at Wexford. Lady Songbird is consistent enough but just looks a few pounds high in the weights at present.
