Verdict

The Big Chap showed a bit more dash at Tramore on his penultimate start and was well supported for his handicap debut at Limerick where he battled on over slightly shorter. He's up 8lb but his rider can claim most of that back and there's more to come though it's hard to get away from MOVING WATER (NAP) on his handicap bow. Dessie McDonagh's charge was having only his fifth start when scooting away with a Wexford maiden and a mark of 102 may be seriously underestimating his ability. Kells Priory probably needs some give in the ground while Cullaghs Star's only success came on heavy going. Staging Post won't mind the conditions but it's almost a year since he's run.
