GIGIPLAN TWO SEVEN was a 50/1 chance when runner-up in a huge field at Punchestown when several much better fancied rivals followed him home. With more to come he is taken to go one better. Serious Ego scored between the flags in April and wouldn't have been suited by a Punchestown bumper on his debut under Rules so should do much better. Winning bumper Licklighter was beaten just a head in a Ballinrobe maiden last summer but didn't reappear until May when, despite attracting support, he ran very poorly. Santiago de Cuba is also carrying a penalty for a bumper victory and all of his runs over hurdles have been over the minimum where he hasn't been beaten far. His stamina has to be taken on trust but he's an obvious danger.
