In depth

Verdict

Winning pointer Rockey Storm is worth a market check in this but Volvalien has been a disappointment in both starts over timber so far. CAPTAIN BARBOSSA may not have won here last month had he stood up but would almost certainly have finished ahead of eventual runner-up Bomber Jackson. Compensation awaits today with a clear round as it's difficult to make a case for many of the others with Ben Button's form figures slightly flattering given he's been racing mainly in small fields – he was tailed off last time at Fairyhouse.
