In depth

Verdict

Gordon Elliott had just one placed runner in 27 entries at the Galway Festival. He'll be hoping to get back on track with Broughtons Bandit, a winner at Perth before an even better effort when headed close home by Abarta at Downpatrick. The winner would have an obvious chance if getting a run from his reserve spot. Ocean Glandore has suddenly found his form and though behind Na Trachtalai Abu at Limerick last month was staying on strongly over the shorter trip and can gain revenge. A Decent Excuse is better over fences these days and Kennedys Mor is 12lb higher than his only victory to date. MEDINAH GOLD ran so well in a tough Galway handicap on Sunday that he looks the one to be on if taking his chance as he's on the same mark.
