In depth

Verdict

PIVOTAL TRIGGER was a decent two-year-old as he was placed in a Group 3 after winning a Galway maiden. He was outclassed in the Grand Criterium on his final start but is sailing in calmer waters here. Voice Of Reason’s third behind a couple of Ballydoyle runners at the Curragh in August has worked out well and he looks a danger while Head Of State has been gelded since a beaten favourite at Dundalk in December. Harbour Wind scrambled home at Cork last month but the second has been beaten again since.
