Sundance has the scope to progress and is taken to beat Bigalos Bandit and Bond City, with World At My Feet the only other of note. Sundance quickly repaid some of the 30,000gns that he cost at the Doncaster Breeze-ups when opening his account in softish conditions at Windsor in July. Hugh Collingridge's juvenile was then beaten when tried on Lingfield's Polytrack but 95-rated Canton was back in third so that was not bad, and the son of Namid, who is held in high regard, is strongly fancied to get back to winning ways here with conditions in his favour. Bigalos Bandit is much more exposed but has an impressive portfolio in the context of this race, having finished fourth in Goodwood's Molecomb Stakes and third in the Roses Stakes at York. He will provide a useful yardstick for Sundance and will not go down without a fight. Bond City looks held by Bigalos Bandit on York running, while World At My Feet should not be good enough, although she was returning from a break when down the field in a nursery on the Knavesmire last month. Sundance gets 2lb off Bigalos Bandit and should make a bold bid to get back to winning ways.
