        Verdict

        Desert Lightning and Cool Isle look the two to concentrate on here and we will take a chance with the first named, the best of the others could prove to be Rudaki. Karl Burke's gelding appreciated the ease in the ground when almost winning a Newcastle seller last time. He was outpaced early on but stayed on strongly to be just beaten at the line. A similar effort today should see him go very close. Cool Isle hit winning form in a Yarmouth claimer last time out and if in the same mood this afternoon he should be thereabouts. Tom Eaves is riding out of his skin at the moment and his mount Rukaki has a squeak on the pick of this season's form. Elite Land could prove best of the others, but Desert Lightning deserves to land a race of this nature and he gets the verdict.
