Verdict

Alkaased is the clear form pick here and will take all the beating, with Lahob the choice to chase the selection home. He was second to Floreeda in a useful maiden at Yarmouth last time having impressed on his racecourse debut at Doncaster, and should be up to winning this maiden event. Lahob is a game type and has been running well so will make this a decent test, while Iftikhar could appreciate the extra half furlong here having run-on well at Catterick last time. It may not be a stroll in the park for our selection, but he should be good enough to take this and lose his maiden tag.
