Trinity Lake is only 1-16 and has done most of his racing over 7f so far but didn’t enjoy much luck in-running at Thirsk at the start of the month and finished ahead of Challet. Six Strings has been much improved this year and should be in the firing-line again, despite a further 3lb rise. Tim Easterby has his team in fine form and Poet's Dawn looks the pick of his duo in this while Mars Landing has placed twice off this mark since winning at Leicester in the spring, though has been done no favours by a wide draw. The three-year-old Malhoob will start alongside him and it’s about time SAFRAN was getting his head back in front. David O’Meara’s French import has found some form over the last month and Danny Tudhope is back on board.
