Little Jimmy Odsox was a late starter and didn't make his debut until June but won three of his five starts and the lack of a recent run shouldn't be a problem. Caranbola is quite well treated but is a specialist over Beverley's stiff sprint track nowadays while Lady Royale appears best over the minimum trip. Swilly Ferry has dropped to a very handy mark and will be winning soon but he's not well drawn here while Jedward, Richard Fahey's recruit from Ireland, is also looking well weighted but has an even higher draw to contend with. Spinatrix had a very good 2011 and is one to keep an eye as is Ganas, who had just four runs in his first campaign last year. ABLE MASTER doesn't look an obvious choice but he started last season on a mark of 92 and is down to 81 for this and as there were signs of a revival at Redcar earlier this month he's handed the vote.
