Verdict

KICKBOXER ran a stormer on Saturday in a massively-competitive York sprint behind See The Sun and Mick Channon clearly thinks he's over those exertions in order to come here just four days on. This is a different assignment with just the six runners but Charles Bishop claims a handy 3lb and the Clodovil gelding is hard to oppose after such a fine effort. He was beaten by The Hooded Claw at Chester previously but the latter has won both his races on soft ground on turning tracks whereas the selection seems better suited by the straight six on good going. Makin The Rules and Jaeger Train are just out of the weights with the latter preferred of the pair but Roachdale House is hard to assess. He's not been at his best on two starts this term after a promising juvenile career and now reverts to sprinting for the first time since his debut third at Redcar last season.
